Social connections affect your entire life Your entire life impacts social connections

Years of experience and research have confirmed what you have seen many times. Scientists have found that human participation in social life with active communication directly affects our happiness and even our life expectancy.

Having a good social life has a positive impact on your relationships, and that, in turn, affects your attractiveness and sexual life. Your social life can also intertwine with your family life. Often your self-realization, exercise or sports, what food you eat, are all closely related to your friends. Your success and motivation to achieve results in these areas often depend on your social life. A healthy social life has a positive impact on your career, education and money. Of course, your relationships with your friends (and, first of all, their presence in your life) affect your mood, giving you confidence and peace of mind.

How do other elements of the Balanced System affect your social life? Many of them work in both directions.

For example, your attractiveness, confidence and calmness, and optimism will attract people. Those who possess these qualities tend to have more friends. Communication-related parts of your attractiveness (which have been described in the corresponding module), for example, your charisma and your ability to listen and to hold the attention of others, have a positive impact on developing and strengthening social ties. Your relationships also help in creating and maintaining new acquaintances. If your partner is socially active, he/she will help you to expand your circle of acquaintances. And, accordingly, your environment may also contribute to your relationships. Your career and education also work in both ways, as some of your close friends have first met you at the office or at college.
